Our Story

Shuttling your kids from art to music to dance…to a birthday party…then a playdate. Sound familiar? Isn’t this why we raise our kids in the city – so we don’t have to tote our tots, snacks, sippies and stuff from place to place? There is a better way! NEST is the brainchild of six close friends who grew up together in the Philly suburbs. Realizing there were hundreds of families just like them, NEST was hatched.

With room to park double-wide strollers, NEST’s easy-access ground level gives young urban families much to explore. A welcoming staff directs visitors to a kids salon, specialty toy and clothing boutique, and a coffee-laden yet juicebox-packed snack cafe. Hop one level down, and there is a 3,000 sq. ft. nature-themed playspace “NEST Play” with dedicated party and playdate areas. Thoughtfully designed, NEST Play is a comfortable place to gather, make new friends, and pack in some serious playtime. NEST’s upper level serves as a top-notch activity hub for developmentally rich educational programming where kids can take classes designed by local leaders in occupational therapy, early childhood development, and the arts.

NEST boasts a bustling class roster. Children and parents can participate in Enrichment classes--a progressive program, from the first mommy & me class "Hatchlings" to "Preschool Bound", a gentle separation class directed by experts in early childhood development. Development classes at NEST encourage movement, music, dance, arts and crafts, language, cooking, and more.
